From concept to animation

This is my ongoing project in which  final goal is to make a shot film.

When approaching a big project most important thing is to make a step by step to do list.

 For this project i had an vague idea of what i wanted to make, so the concept part was more of an idea exploration than making a base draft.

I wanted to have a female protagonist with cyborg legs to enhance her parkour capabilities.

 PROBLEM SOLVING

This character was made for post apo/sci fi world so the clothing style had to fit in to narrative.

Having in mind animation i had to resign from baggy clothing and hanging elements because animating it could be to hard to do or symulate with limited resources.

Probably the most difficult part were the mechanical legs, to get them right i made over eleven sketches and still managed to not use any of them.

The final version is a combination of few different ideas with a clean design.

Currently im working on 3d model of my character and i will write more about it in the future 😉
